Steven McIntyre received the honour of becoming an ANUFC Life Member in 2006. As part of this honour, Life Members are to receive free registration with the club for as long as they play for the club. 

The ANUFC registration fee is broken into two main components:

1. ANU Sport & Recreation Association membership (SRA)
2. ANU FC Membership.

The ANUFC committee has agreed to allow McIntyre to transfer the latter component, the ANUFC membership fee, to become the ‘McIntyre Scholarship’ or ‘the Macca’. The aim of the scholarship is to provide an ANU student financial assistance for choosing to play and develop their football with the club. The Macca will lessen the financial burden of student life and to provide a pathway for youth to graduate into
the adult ranks of one of the ACT’s leading football clubs.

Criteria

An applicant will need to qualify by being:

1. An ANU enrolled student,
2. Preferably 18-21 years of age,
3. Able to demonstrate the ability to be a ‘club’ person.

Applicants will need to have their application submitted to the committee by the deadline given from time to time.
